Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to High School! I hope you had a fun and relaxing summer. My name is Marga Jovic. This is my six year at Ivy and I am excited to be teaching Spanish 1 and 3. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish from CSUN. I also obtained a masters degree in education from National University. I started my educational career teaching Spanish in the El Camino Real H.S. for 5 years. I am extremely excited to start the New Year and to get to know each and every one of you.
As an educator I value diversity and understand that all students are unique individuals with different needs and learning styles. In order to reach each and every student in a Foreign Language, I incorporate Art projects and role playing activities to make class enjoyable and fun. Further, by integrating the Language Arts and Entrepreneurial curricula, I seek to show students how knowledge, understanding, and skills can be transferred from one subject area to another.
Parent-teacher communication is imperative to a successful learning environment. I welcome and encourage your questions, comments, and concerns. Creating and modeling this partnership ensures that your child will have a successful year and reach their academic goals.
I not only believe that students are in school to learn, but also to develop life-long skills. My goal is to teach students good character, responsibility, organization, and accountability. Possessing these traits will help ensure their success throughout school and into adulthood.
Once again, I am extremely excited for the upcoming year and look forward to meeting you. Remember the followings important dates
