Ms. Galvez will be making phone calls home to students on her caseload and any informal students who seek her for counseling support during our closure. LAUSD has opened a phone hotline for all students, families and teachers to help manage fear, anxiety and other challenges related to COVID-19. The phone hotline – 213-241-3840 – will be open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, staffed by counselors and mental health professionals to provide support in both English and Spanish. Doctor Radio (Ch. 110). It is available on both active and inactive SiriusXM radios on Channel 121 and will also be available on the SiriusXM app and via SiriusXM.com. SiriusXM and NYU Langone Health have also created a 24/7 coronavirus information hotline that provides expert answers to questions about the emerging health threat. Callers who dial 877-40COVID (877-402-6843) will hear direct responses to the most commonly asked questions about coronavirus from NYU Langone Health’s experts on the front lines of the coronavirus response teams. Callers will also have an opportunity to record questions about additional coronavirus concerns, and selected questions will be chosen to be answered directly by experts on Doctor Radio’s new weekly coronavirus broadcast, Coronavirus: What You Need To Know Now, and on other regularly scheduled programming featured on Doctor Radio.
