Matthew Saputo: Athletic Director

 A 1994 graduate of Graceland University. I've worked at  the middle school and high school levels teaching physical education,  coaching as well as organizing and creating after school sports programs for the past thirteen years.  As the new Athletic Director, I've been working hard with the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) and have made Ivy Academia a full fledge member starting in the fall.  I also created and provided the high school with an after school weight lifting program,  created  job opportunities for our high school students to earn money refereeing and coaching middle school sports.  I’m extremely excited to be here and looking forward to being a part of the Ivy family. Steven Schreck : Boys Varsity Basketball Coach

My name is Steven Schreck and my background is in Physical Education, earning both a Degree in Kinesiology as well as a Physical Education credential, at Cal State-Northridge. I coach Men’s Basketball at Ivy. I have played basketball since Junior High through High School in the San Fernando Valley. I began coaching ten years ago at a parochial middle school then spending the last seven years at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks as Varsity Assistant Head Coach and Junior Varsity Head Coach. The elite competition faced during my time in the Mission League will be an asset has we build our basketball program at Ivy Academia with an emphasis on energy, enthusiasm and execution.

Elizabeth Davidson: Varsity Girls Basketball Coach/Girls varsity Softball Coach

A 7th grade  English Language Arts teacher.  Elizabeth has played basketball on traveling teams in Massachusetts from 2^nd grade through high school.  She has played varsity basketball four years in high school, played intramurals throughout college, and play in adult women’s league in Camarillo year round.  Elizabeth is a competitive individual and know what it means to be committed and work hard.  "Success comes from hard work and game experience comes from practice experiences".

Susan Neumann: Cross Country Coach

I am Coach Neumann and this is my fifth year teaching and coaching Ivy Academia. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in Kinesiology and have a California K-12 Preliminary Health and Physical Education Teaching Certificate. I am currently putting the finishing touches on my thesis for my master’s degree at the California State University of Northridge in Kinesiology. I was a competitive figure skater for 15 years and a professional figure skating coach for two years. I have also coached Ivy’s cross-country, basketball, and track and field teams. I currently teach high school health and fitness at the Chatsworth site. In past summers, I was a lifeguard and have given private swimming lessons. In my free time, I enjoy running, surfing and playing adult kickball! I am certified in adult, child, and infant CPR, emergency Basic First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens and AED skills. I have completed the NFHS (Natural Federation of State High School Associations) Fundamentals of Coaching course required for all coaches by the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation).  Please read the parent letter for more information about our upcoming season. Hope to see you in September.
