Ivy Academia Admissions

Ivy Academia is a TUITION FREE public charter school for all grades from kindergarten through 12th grade.  (There is a charge for our pre-kindergarten program.)

Ivy Academia is committed to admitting all pupils who wish to attend the school without regard to race, income, national origin or geographic location.  In order to be considered for enrollment, an "Application of Interest" must be submitted (one application per child) ON-LINE ONLY.  

Upon completion of such application, applicants receive a submission number.  If an application is accepted, Ivy will post on its website a list of accepted applicants by submission number, as well as a list of those on the waiting list.  Ivy will also send a congratulatory email or letter to those accepted.  There are no preferences for early submissions.  

During enrollment periods, we attempt to go through our waiting list as quickly as possible; however, there is never any guarantee of placement due to the size of the waiting list.  To maximize your chances of gaining entry, please fill out the Application of Interest as soon as possible. Ivy updates its website monthly to reflect changing wait-list numbers and contacts those who have been accepted along the way.   

Ivy Academia clears its waiting list as soon as we open up enrollment for the Fall of each school year; this is done around January. In other words, your application will not roll from one year to the next.   

Every applicant must attend one of Ivy's New Parent Orientation.  Dates are posted to the website in December. 

Ivy's lottery takes place in mid March each year and is open to the public.  Attendance at the lottery is not mandatory.  Ivy Academia currently has four facilities serving our different grade levels:

West Hills (Primary Campus): Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1
Canoga Park/Winnetka (Sunny Brae) Campus: Grades 2-3
Woodland Hills (De Soto) Campus: Grades 4-8
Chatsworth Campus: Grades 9-12 (only accepting applications for 9th grade)
